The NAMVE Story
Our Mission
NAMVE is based on Vision, Voice, Village and Value and is dedicated to helping independent artists in all aspects of their career.
Vision— NAMVE respects the vision of our members and works to help them make those visions of the future come to life through our educational programs, networking opportunities and mentoring programs.
Voice—NAMVE is building a voice for our members so that they can share ideas and concerns. Furthermore, our performers have the ability to reach out to promoters and fans at any level through NAMVE.
Village—Most independent artists and performers work in their communities. NAMVE Villages provide a vehicle to network with other artists, promoters and producers in your area and around the country.
Value— NAMVE membership at a low cost of $100.00 annually provides you access to some of the best healthcare and financial counseling and insurance programs in the country. In addition to personal coverages NAMVE offers insurance programs specifically for entertainers including: instruments, studio time, touring and special events.

It all began in 2004. A group of musicians, vocalist and performers, along with close friends, were together at the Vocalist Hall Fame in Wildwood, New Jersey. It was a time of celebration.
However, the conversation evolved into a sad realization that many in the entertainment business are very familiar with. There aren’t retirement plans, health care benefits, pension funds, or continued educational options. It was also determined that the fact that the business side of the industry was often not something that seems to be the type of benefit one had thought it to be.
Attendees also agreed that health care plans were unreasonably priced for the independent performer. Therefore, most entertainers are prohibited from having the opportunity to save or invest money like so many others outside of the industry are able to do. And then there is education. How can someone in the entertainment business afford or even have time to further his or her education?
Since that meeting in 2004, many artist, performers and musicians have been actively involved with the creation of what we know as the National Association of Musicians, Vocalists and Entertainers, Inc.
We encourage you to become involved in our mission to enrich the lives of all performers and artist who dedicate themselves to bringing joy and happiness to others through entertaining.
